Tim Dorsey leads PowerAdvocate’s Client Services organization, delivering innovative capital project, strategic supply chain, and spend analysis solutions and other expert analytics services that leverage PowerAdvocate’s proprietary technology and data assets. He is also the company’s chief counsel, responsible for legal, contracting, and compliance matters.
Tim has led the growth and development of the Client Services team, a group of professionals with wide-ranging analytical, technical, and commercial skills and a passion for serving our customers, managing multiple executive-level customer relationships, optimizing the value customers obtain from PowerAdvocate solutions, and delivering subject matter expertise and advice around commercial approaches for major capital projects to drive cost-effective, prudent project execution.
Before joining PowerAdvocate, Tim was an attorney at Vinson & Elkins LLP, a leading international energy firm based in Houston, where he focused on major capital project financing and development projects and M&A projects in the oil and gas and power industries; at Bechtel Corporation, a global EPC contractor; and at Azurix Corp., a water and wastewater infrastructure owner and operator.
Tim holds a JD from Tulane University and a BS Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University.
Tim serves as executive sponsor of the Boston chapter of the Verisk REACH network, which supports Black employees and allies through resources, education, action, connection, and help. He also participates in Verisk’s Sustainability Council and Compliance Council.
He's the chair of his town’s finance committee, which reviews and recommends annual town budgets to town meeting members.
