Rob Cissel leads PowerAdvocate’s Emerging Solutions team for the power, utilities, and renewable energy markets. His team focuses on creating strong alignment between customer value and PowerAdvocate’s emerging solutions in the areas of supply chain risk management, advanced vegetation management using aerial imagery and data analytics, supply chain demand planning, and energy transition procurement.
His supply chain expertise focuses on emerging practices in supply chain risk management, data-driven decision support strategies, advanced category management, strategic sourcing, spend analytics, complex contract management, and supplier relationship management.
Before assuming his current responsibilities, Rob led PowerAdvocate’s North American Utilities and Canadian Oil & Gas Sales and Marketing teams. His deep energy industry experience serving power, utility, and renewable clients is complemented by his work serving clients across multiple industries, from automotive to financial services.
Throughout his 30-year career, Rob has led sales and marketing teams, supply chain consulting engagements, and large supply chain practitioner teams, delivering impactful insights and developing and selling data-driven and technology-enabled supply chain solutions for Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies.
Rob has been recognized as a “Top Pro to Know” by Supply and Demand Chain Executive magazine, which cited his expertise transforming supply chains into high-performing organizations.
He holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BS in engineering from the US Naval Academy.
Outside of work, Rob volunteers for Girls on the Run New Hampshire and his hometown’s conservation commission.
