Devin Thomas leads PowerAdvocate’s Market Intelligence group, where he leverages his consulting experience and passion for new product development by leading initiatives focused on unlocking market insights and creating new or improved market-insight solutions to help customers.
He manages complex new solution projects, collaborating with Product Development, Data Science, Client Services, Sales, and other product teams, and pioneers new ways to deliver supplier diversity and price benchmarking solutions to PowerAdvocate customers.
Devin’s experience bridges both operations and maintenance (O&M) and capital projects, as well as nearly every sub-sector of utilities, oil, and gas. Before starting the Market Intelligence group in 2020, he led PowerAdvocate consulting projects as a managing director in Client Services for more than 30 of the largest energy firms in North America.
He helped his clients manage risks, save hundreds of millions of dollars, and build more sophisticated supply-chain organizations through a variety of engagements including mergers, strategic sourcing, category management implementation, estimating, demand planning, and training programs.
Before joining PowerAdvocate in 2007, Devin held a project assistant role at the law firm of Sidley Austin where he worked on some of the largest multi-district litigation cases in the Product Liability sector.
Devin holds a BA in law, letters, and society from the University of Chicago and a certificate from the Verisk Experienced Leadership Program in collaboration with Harvard.
Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the great outdoors, competing in triathlons, and a variety of arts and crafts.
